best configuration for desktop computer?
I would like to know what is the best configuration for a desktop pc out there today. I am not looking for a gaming computer, I just want a computer with a lot hard drive space so I can put all my files in it, and I processor that will not lag when i am multi-tasking.

Windows 7 64-Bit/Linux
Minus the cost of Windows, you're looking to spend around $600 on what I've listed. $500 without the external drive.
