USB 2.0 HDD External Case Not recognizing?
I bought an Gemini USB 2.0 HDD External Case in 2006 and I used rarely. Recently I purchased a new laptop which is VISTA running and after a long time I try to use this HDD, but its not recognizing any drive. I checked the status in the Device Manager and I see the status is "This device is working properly", then why I can's see the data inside my case? Is there anything wrong in the VISTA? then it supposed failed when I insert the port. But it showed me installed successfully.
u try following steps:
start > run > type devmgmt.msc > click '+' mark beside usb serial bus controllers >uninstall all the usb root hubs >restart
after restart let pc detect usb device one by one..
else
start > type regedit > find HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINEsystemcurrentcontrolsetservicesusb > create usb key if doesn't exist! > under tis key, create new dwordvalue called disableselectivesuspend > giv it value 1 > restart pc
else
start > run > type devmgmt.ms > right click usb root hub and then click properties > click the power management tab > click clearallow the computer to turn off tis device to save power check box > click ok!
finally, if still no work, go to computer centre check the device hv problem or not.
