If you are in a hurry and forgot to leave the icing out of the fridge to get to room temperature, you can put it into your countertop microwave for a few seconds to get the desired consistency for spreading onto the cake.
The kinds of pans that you have baking a cake in will need to varied. This is so you will have no trouble in making a certain shape for one of those cartoon characters. You should have square cake pans as well as a round ones. Your best bet is to have these shapes in a couple of different sizes.
In addition to baking a cake and having ice cream, you will also want to make sure the rooms you having the party in are decorated to the hilt. This is awesome for little ones when they walk into a room and see a lot of bright colors and balloons.
If you do not have a camera, you must get one for the kids at their birthday parties. Think about being able to show your grandchildren the parties that you had for their mom or dad when they were young.
